When hunting or being hunted by lions on the Serengeti, warriors have been taught to run toward the roar, not away. Tribal elders have passed on lessons hard won over the millennia. They’ve taught young braves and chiefs alike about the threats and opportunities of the hunt. They’ve taught them how, like life and leadership in general, what can appear at first to be counter intutive, may, upon further examination, be the very key to survival.

You see, when lions hunt, the oldest and, often, most toothless male is sent to the head of the herd of game, while the rest of the pride goes to the other end of the herd. Upon some secret signal, the male stands erect and roars, whereupon the herd flees in the opposite direction…right into the waiting trap set by the rest of the pride.

I’m Emmett Murphy and I’d like to welcome you to this overview of our Executive and General Leadership coaching services.
